Week 1 Recap: Jr Whips Kick Off the 2025 Season
The Jr Whips are back, and Week 1 of the 2025 season was packed with excitement, close battles, and a few big-time wins.
Our youngest group, 6U-Tiffany, had the week off with a bye. They’re tanned, rested, and eager to make their season debut this coming weekend.
For 7U-Barone, 9U-Kojzarek, 11U-Nyquist and 12U-Bentley, it was as close as it gets. Each of these teams fought down to the wire, only to fall by a single score. The grit and determination were there, and these squads are already looking forward to bouncing back stronger in Week 2.
Meanwhile, 12U-Navarro and 13U-Majcher made sure to start the season with a bang. Both squads put together dominant performances, proving they’re ready to set the tone early. They didn’t just make it into “Club Dub”—they kicked down the door on the way in!
Elsewhere, 8U-Moreno, 10U-Ackerley, 10U-Zepeda and 13U-Levin got valuable early-season reps, showing their potential and resilience under pressure. Expect these teams to regroup and come back even stronger this weekend.
On the sidelines, our cheerleaders were in midseason form. 4/5/6-Moreno and K/1-Levin squads brought the energy on the road, keeping spirits high and the crowd fired up. And how sharp did they look in their brand-new uniforms? 💜🤍
Looking Ahead to Week 2
Next up, the Jr Whips open their first homestand of the season. Most of our teams will face off against our neighbors, the Algonquin Argos, while:

8U-Moreno battles the Rockford Renegades
-
9U-Kojzarek takes on the always-tough Plainfield Saints
-
11U-Nyquist and 13U-Levin clash with the Oriole Park Falcons
It’s shaping up to be an exciting weekend of football right here at home. Let’s fill the stands, show our purple pride, and cheer on every Jr Whip as they continue their 2025 journey!
