Girls Flag Football is currently the fastest-growing high school sport in the country. From local school districts to collegiate levels, the demand for this high-speed, high-skill game is exploding. Recognizing this trend, Pop Warner Little Scholars has moved to nationally roll out a dedicated league, ensuring our girls have a clear path from youth play all the way to the high school varsity stage. The Jr Whip-Purs are proud to be at the forefront of this movement.

A Professional Partnership: The Chicago Bears

We are incredibly proud to announce that the Chicago Bears have partnered with Chicagoland Pop Warner to help make this program a reality. Through their immense generosity, the Bears are providing resources to help offset equipment and jersey expenses, ensuring that our program has a professional foundation from day one. This collaboration isn't just about football; it's about the Chicago Bears investing in the future of female athletes in our community.

What is Girls Flag Football?

Unlike traditional contact football, Flag Football emphasizes agility, route-running, and strategic defensive positioning. Played in a fast-paced format, it allows athletes to develop elite hand-eye coordination and cardiovascular endurance. It is high-energy, inclusive, and provides a fantastic team environment for girls to build confidence, leadership skills, and athletic discipline.

Inaugural Season Divisions

We are currently looking to form four competitive teams for our first season. Divisions are based on the athlete's age as of August 1st:

• 8U Division: Ages 7 & 8

• 10U Division: Ages 9 & 10

• 12U Division: Ages 11 & 12

• 14U Division: Ages 13 & 14

Final details regarding registration fees, practice schedules, and game locations will be announced before May 1st. However, the work starts now! We are currently looking for:
