The Hampshire Jr Whip-Purs are nothing if not consistent. After both he 10U and 12U Greater IL teams suffered tough losses in their first rounds of the 2022 AYF All Star Tournament, they turned the page and put forth commanding victories to win out the tournament and bring home 3rd place trophies.
10U was lead by Jake “State Farm” Chaidez, though the parents and fans of our divisional foes turned All Star teammates offered up some alternative suggestions that were not quite safe for work. He ran for a 25 yard touchdown in the bronze matchup and had some massive tackles while showcasing his talents on the defensive side of the ball.
Not to be outdone by his younger brother, 12U Chase Chaidez joined rookie sensation Malachi Thomas in serving up some pancakes on offense, before getting reps in on defense holding their last three opponents scoreless for a combined 115 – 0.
Congratulations boys. Next year we hope to send you back with more of your Whip-Purs teammates!
