The Jr Whip-Purs Cheerleading program has had an incredible season, thanks to the dedication of our athletes, the expertise of our coaches, and the enthusiastic support of our community. This year, the program grew to include six squads, featuring two sideline-only teams geared toward recruiting and introducing young athletes to the excitement of cheerleading. By engaging new cheerleaders at an early stage, these teams are building a foundation that helps grow and sustain the program for years to come.
Competitive Squads Leading the Way
Our four competitive squads have achieved remarkable milestones throughout the season, consistently proving their skill, teamwork, and spirit at various competitions. Here’s a closer look at each team’s standout accomplishments:
-
CREC2: This team has earned three bids to ICA State and celebrated a 2nd place finish at Pop Warner. CREC2’s impressive showing has set a strong example for our program. They head into the ICA State Championship as our most decorated squad.
-
CREC4: With three bids to ICA State and two 1st place finishes, CREC4 has exemplified excellence within Division C. These achievements are a testament to the team’s hard work and determination.
-
CREC7: Earning two bids to ICA State and a 1st place finish, CREC7 has continued to show growth and improvement. The squad is determined to make a lasting mark at the ICA State Championship, where last season they came home with a 3rd place finish - the only squad to place.
-
CREC8: This team also earned two bids to ICA State, secured a 1st place finish at Cheer Pink, and made their mark at Pop Warner with a 2nd place finish. CREC8 is eager to make their final season as Jr Whip-Purs their best yet.
On the Road to ICA State Championships
Last season, three of our four competitive teams qualified for ICA State at the last competition of the season. This year, all four squads had earned their bids by the second competition! The consistent improvement shows just how hard our athletes have worked, pushing themselves to reach new heights with each performance. This season, our goal is for each team to place at the ICA State Championship, a significant step up from last year when only CREC7 placed with a 3rd place finish. With their sights set on high rankings, each squad is well-prepared and motivated for the upcoming championship.
A Special Farewell to CREC8
As the season comes to a close, we also honor our CREC8 squad, who will soon graduate from the Jr Whip-Purs program and move on to Hampshire High School. These athletes, under the guidance of Coach Nyle Ackerley, have dedicated themselves to leaving a legacy. Coach Ackerley has pushed them to make this season their finest, serving as role models and leaders within the program.
To the girls of CREC8: Thank you for your hard work, leadership, and dedication. You’ve set an example for future Jr Whip-Purs, and we’re excited to see what you accomplish next. Best of luck at the ICA State Championship and in your journey ahead!
Congratulations to All Our Cheerleaders!
To each Jr Whip-Pur cheerleader, we’re immensely proud of all you’ve accomplished this season. Your talent, resilience, and team spirit have brought honor to our community, and we look forward to cheering you on at the ICA State Championships and beyond. Congratulations, Jr Whip-Purs Cheerleading!
